Tom brings a very diverse array of skills to The Smith Group. Tom is a graduate of USC, holding both a B.S. degree in Civil engineering and an M.B.A in Finance. Tom bolsters that educational background with professional experience, holding licenses as both a California Real Estate Broker and B-1 Contractor since 1970. Perhaps Tom’s greatest contribution to the group stems from his 35 years of experience as one of coastal Orange County’s most successful and respected custom homebuilders. Tom completed the construction of over 2,000 classic custom homes. Tom’s unique “hands-on” homebuilding experience proves invaluable to both buyers and sellers of homes as they look for professional advice on innovative ways to remodel or expand older homes after purchase, or advice on how to effectively bring a home up to “state-of-the-art” standards that allows the seller to command maximum price at sale.

Annika Godfrey has been involved with all aspects of the real estate industry for over 13 years. A graduate from Kent State University, she came to The Smith Group from another top producing team where her primary function was the development of new business. She generated over 300 sales in a 6 year period, which resulted in over 300 million dollars in closed transactions. Annika was born and raised in Orange County, which gives her a lifetime of familiarity with the Orange County marketplace. She is particularly adept at managing simultaneous escrows for sellers who are buyers. She currently heads up our divorce sales department and works closely with a CFP/CDFA from Merrill Lynch. Her diversification in the real estate industry and pure determination coupled with hard work helps The Smith Group achieve its goals.

The offer and diligence and inspection period for the purchase of my home was extremely short (2 week close). Tim and his staff were immediately engaged to have the inspections, refer construction consultants for me to discuss some of my concerns on the inspection report, and in every way were “on top of it”. I would say they exceeded all of my expectations with the highest standards of performance I have experienced. I would absolutely refer your team at The Smith Group to anyone looking for a real estate agent.
Tim Smith and his team also helped me to sell my home in Newport Coast. I would also say that the sale of my home on Ocean Ridge was equally as impressive. Tim came to sell the home after almost 18 months of a previous agent attempting to sell the home. The home was sold within a little over 2 months of his listing with multiple offers. Tim understood the dynamics of my situation and was able to communicate the necessary information to get the issues resolved so we could sell the home.
